Top 3 Food Trucks in Key West

by Stevie Vagabond on December 28, 2019 in Key West

Why Food Trucks in Key West? I’ve traveled all over the world and tasted food from many different cultures. Netflix is full of food documentaries and many of them are tied in to travel. The last few years I’ve spent most of my time in Key West, getting to know the local scene a bit more, and to be honest… Read more →

Day 5 & 6 – Canadian Vagabonds Exploring Vegas

by Stevie Vagabond on September 22, 2018 in Moving Lesley to Las Vegas

Despite yet another long drive from Las Cruces to Las Vegas, and although we finally arrived at our final destination, there was no time to relax.  I only had two days for unloading the truck and exploring Vegas with my parents before I would be flying back to Key West. Day 5 – Unloading The Truck The next morning we… Read more →

Day 4 – Mexican Breakfast in Las Cruces, New Mexico

by Stevie Vagabond on August 7, 2018 in Moving Lesley to Las Vegas

Arriving in Las Cruces, New Mexico Another full day of driving which began in Austin, Texas in the morning finally got us out of that giant of a state and into New Mexico. We found another place on AirBnb, this time in Las Cruces and it definitely had that Mexican flavor to it. We really didn’t get to enjoy it… Read more →

Morning Prayer EP Shadows Road Trip As I said in the post for the Humanity Prayer, my music journey really began when Gustaff Besungu took me under his wing and on his EP Shadows Road Trip tour around the United States in 2016. At that moment I had hoped to have an album of my own to share, but did… Read more →

Humanity Prayer by Stevie Vagabond

by Stevie Vagabond on July 14, 2018 in Music, Updates Along the Way

Humanity Prayer (Yá Bahá’u’l-Abhá) EP Shadows Road Trip Initially the Humanity Prayer song came about just before I went on the EP Shadows Road Trip tour with Gustaff Besungu. Up until then, although I performed on the streets to fund my travels, I had not identified myself as a musician. But when Gustaff asked if I would join him on… Read more →

by Stevie Vagabond on June 18, 2018 in Moving Lesley to Las Vegas

Day 2 – Pensacola Beach Morning from Pensacola Beach My mom had just flown from Edmonton, Alberta and I knew that she was hoping to see the beach and ocean, so I planned for our first stop to be Pensacola Beach. After a long day starting at 6 am in Key West, loading the truck in Stuart, and then driving… Read more →

Closing the Chapter on Competitive Soccer

by Stevie Vagabond on January 22, 2018 in Updates Along the Way

On November 11th of this year (2017) I strapped up my boots for the final match of my competitive soccer career with Vancouver Island University Mariners in a CCAA Nationals gold medal game vs. the Douglas Royals. Not the most exciting of matches, and I didn’t get on until the last 30 seconds of the game, but none the less we came… Read more →

Thank you for your sense of adventure, your laughter, vulnerability, determination, courage, strength, and willingness to take on this crazy life with me. It has been far from easy!

While the pictures make it look quite literally like non stop rainbows and sunshine, it has been more like sailing across an ocean — plenty of time waiting and wondering, moments of insane tempestuous storms that feel like it’s all over, and then moments of pure magic that you really aren’t sure if you’re dreaming or not. After it’s all said and done it ends up being one of the greatest stories of them all. I embrace it all with you syrup 🍁 I love you 🤟🏼
